  Clients who have purchased any of the Website Promotion Packages should be aware that due to the Xmas holiday the monthly Ranking Reports will go out 2 days earlier than normal this month, and will be issued on the 23rd of December. Ranking Reports will move back to the 25th of each month in January.

• KeePass Password Safe Updated in Downloads section
  

  After hearing that my brother's wife-to-be just lost £1,000 from her Bank Account, VIA her linked PayPal account I thought it was tinme to remind you all that it is VERY easy to use, and to manage very strong passwords.

  You should also NEVER use ONE password for all your logins - ALWAYS use a unique password for each!

  Then comes the problem of remembering them all (I have over 580 at last count)

  This is where the excellent free utility called "KeePass Password Safe" comes in handy.

  This utility can generate passwords of any length and complexity for you, and store them for you. Then you just set ONE LONG passphrase for the program to keep all your password safe and to hand for easy access when required.

  The program comes in 2 versions, so you can choose the version that suits the way you work:-

  • A windows version for running on your home PC or Laptop
  • A portable version for installing on a USB stick so you can use it on ANY PC or Laptop and so always have ALL your passwords to hand when travelling or at work.

• Planned Server Maintencance
  

  On Friday, October 30, 2009 between 5:00am and 11:00am GMT, we will perform maintenance on one of the servers hosting client websites.  A reboot of this server will be required.  We do not expect the downtime to exceed 15 minutes.

  
  
  
• Due to Royal Mail strike action Smart Art no longer accepts cheques
  

  To all Smart Art Clients,

  In light of the announcement a few minutes ago that Royal Mail postal workers have voted for a National Postal Strike, Smart Art can now no longer accept cheques as a valid payment method.

  Smart Art did announce last year ( http://cms-wales.co.uk/clients/announcements.php?id=13 ) that we would be ceasing to accept cheques at this year, but this strike action threat from the Royal Mail has now forced our hand in this issue.

  From today, the only valid methods of payment accepted by Smart Art are as follows:-

  • Credit or Debit Card payment made over the phone to Harry Adams
    
  • Credit or Debit Card payment from within your Client Area at http://www.cms-wales.co.uk/clients
    
  • PayPal payments or transfers from within your Client Area
    
  • Internet Banking payments direct to Smart Art's business account
    
  • Standing Orders from UK Banks to Smart Art's business account
    
  • BACS bank transfers to Smart Art's business account
    
  • Envelopes stuffed with cash delivered by hand ;-)

  Please do NOT send cheques, if you do they will be shredded, and your account will not be credited.

  Smart Art's latest CMS project; a Content Management System website called Photo Supermarket, is a new project for us and was opened to the public earlier today.

  This new CMS website is our own latest project and is a Stock Photo website designed to allow designers, or anyone in need of a photo for a project, to buy stock photos at bargain prices, starting at as little as $1.50.

  Photographers can also sign up completely free of charge and upload their own photographs for sale on the site. Photographers receive 70% of all photograph sales. You can view the site here: www.photosupermarket.com
